Burnt, laser-cut plywood, a distant relative of serene fishing boats, has been layered by hand into structures redolent of utopian archipelagos and evocative harbours of fantasy. The spectacularly transformed wood then mingles with colourful woven silks to organise luxurious, three-dimensional homage to tanned bodies.
Angular rings extend to reach refracted sunrays caressing fingers at beach bars. Others are engaged in a tidal game with shadows and openings.
